The Park District Board Members take pride in the improvements we bring to the park.  Below are some of the projects we have completed, and some new ones that are in progress.

Completed Projects 

 

The Freeburg Park District is committed to continually improving our parks and recreational facilities. Below are some of the projects completed in recent years as we continue building a better park for tomorrow.
2025–2026
LED Ballfield Lighting Project
Completed installation of new LED athletic field lighting, providing improved visibility, greater energy efficiency, and an enhanced experience for players and spectators.
Pavilion Improvements
Repainted park pavilions to preserve these popular community gathering spaces while improving their appearance and extending their service life.
Board Governance Modernization
Adopted comprehensive Board Bylaws to strengthen governance, improve transparency, and establish consistent operating procedures.
Financial Improvements
Engaged a professional Treasurer and Accountant to strengthen financial oversight, reporting, and long-term fiscal planning.
Capital Improvement Planning
Retained a planning consultant to begin development of the Park District’s Capital Improvement Plan and long-term Park Master Plan.
Homecoming Modernization
Expanded sponsorship opportunities, introduced secure online payment options, and enhanced planning efforts for the 2026 Freeburg Homecoming.
