Dave Van Zummeren, President

Dave Van Zummeren has proudly served on the Freeburg Park District Board of Commissioners since 2023 and has served as Board President since 2025. As a lifelong advocate for community involvement and public service, Dave is committed to strengthening the Park District through responsible leadership, long-term planning, and continued investment in the community. Outside of his volunteer service with the Park District, Dave is a high school Social Studies teacher with the Insight School of Missouri and is pursuing his administrative certification in Educational Leadership. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Cassidy, and their daughter, Paisley, and remains committed to ensuring the Freeburg Recreation Park District continues to be a place where families can gather, play, and create lasting memories.
